Sassable Pivots to Add Paid B2C Offering

Deskpad has been operating in the B2B business to business space since 2010, assisting Australian Hair, Beauty and Wellness service providers with a CRM (customer relationship management) style system since March 2014. The Sassable Online Booking system simplifies record keeping and automates online marketing, reporting and administrative tasks for busy practitioners and stylists.

As with business people in many industries, practitioners and stylists are ever more spoilt for choice with online business system offerings whilst also being focused on their area of specialty and some what resistant to change in the way they run their operations.

On the other hand, customers are increasingly connected and demanding higher levels of convenience and online self-service options. This is the main driver for up-take despite the strong business case for practitioners to leverage the efficiencies and leap forward in customer attraction and retention rates that the Sassable system can deliver.

Commencing 2017, Deskpad is sponsoring a line of direct to customer health and weight loss coaching and education programs under the Sassable brand. This offering will be taking shape over the course of the coming months. Programs will deliver long term health and wellness benefits for participants by developing healthy habits and positive mindset combined with diet and exercise recommendations which specifically target fat burning and appetite modulation.

Many of our Hair and Beauty directory customers are hampered from promoting their services online due to lack of computer based systems.

Deskpad has launched our Salon Management Software and Online Booking System as a hosted service this month to enable even one-person businesses to afford an online system.

Plans are under way for our first annual blog writing competition to be promoted through high schools across Australia! Write a blog post (200-500 words) about Beauty, Health or Fashion. Entries open August 1 and prizes include $250 first prize, $150 for second and $100 for third as well as bonus $100 cash to the first 50 schools to submit 50 or more entries.

Christine, our staff writer is doing a fantastic job growing the article base of our SASSABLE.COM website with an additional 5 articles per week providing insights into popular hair and beauty treatments. We also have a great 'latest trends' blog running and will be inviting new guest bloggers in the coming months.

The Salon Directory currently boasts 17,008 listings including 25 enhanced listings and 565 salons who have been contacted. The number of salon owners who have been contacted is growing at around 200 salons per week.

Deskpad websites and software run in a LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) and are built on the CakePHP framework and SugarCRM opensource customer relationship management software.

Cake is an MVC (Model View Controller) framework written in PHP which enables rapid development of web applications. Deskpad is also partial to the awesomely powerful JQuery opensource javascript library.
